VectMag community welcomes Dr. Ola Samaa Sherif as the editorial committee member.
Dr. Ola Samaa Sherif is serving as Assistant Professor with a Ph.D. in Interior Architecture. She has a strong educational background, including a Ph.D. in Interior Architecture from Alexandria University in Egypt. Her doctoral thesis focused on "Visual Sequences for variable and constant interior spaces" under the guidance of Prof. Medhat Metwally and Prof. Mahmoud Al-Mallah.
Dr. Ola's research interests revolve around the physical facilities of learning environments for design courses and sustainable learning environments for studio courses. She is also passionate about teaching interior design, design concepts, design processes, modern interior spaces, organic shapes, biomimicry, and new technologies in interior design.
Currently, Dr. Ola holds the position of Assistant Professor at the University of Science and Technology of Fujairah in the UAE. She has previously held academic positions at various institutions in the UAE, KSA, and Egypt. Throughout her career, she has taught a wide range of courses related to interior design, design studios, furniture design, drawing, color theory, and more.
Dr. Ola has received awards for her scientific excellence and has written and published research papers and conference presentations in her field. She has also participated in numerous training courses and workshops to enhance her skills and knowledge in teaching and research.
In addition to her academic work, Dr. Ola has gained valuable experience in the industry, working as an interior designer on various projects, including residential, retail, and office spaces. She has also been involved in the renovation and redesign of university interiors.
Dr. Ola is dedicated to her profession and has contributed to academic services, served as a juror for graduation projects, and held managerial positions. Her expertise, passion for teaching and research, and industry experience make her a valuable asset to the field of interior design.
