Abstract
With the increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Data-Driven Societies, a new set of governance issues has arisen, such as Privacy, Transparency, Accountability, Ethical Responsibility, Human Monitoring and Trust. While many of these issues are covered in Responsible AI research, the information is spread across principles, technologies, and trust issues. This makes it hard to comprehend how Human-Centric Governance can construct Digital Trust. This study gives a snapshot of recent research on Responsible AI to appreciate its links to Human-Focused Governance and Digital Trust. According to the review, Privacy Protection, Transparency, Accountability, Ethical AI Governance and Human Monitoring are important and interrelated factors that influence trust in an AI environment. The findings highlight the need to more closely link these governance areas to Digital Trust. This study integrates existing studies to provide a Human-Centered approach to governance with Digital Trust at its core, defining Responsible AI. The findings are expected to inform researchers, policymakers, organizations, and technology practitioners in designing governance approaches to promote responsible, accountable, transparent, and trustworthy AI systems
