Abstract
Managing municipal solid waste is one of the most significant challenges facing urban environments today. As populations grow, the volume of dry waste comprising plastics, paper, textiles, and wood continues to overwhelm traditional landfills. These materials often take decades to decompose, leading to soil degradation, greenhouse gas emissions, and finally spoiling the environment. The concept of "Dry Waste to Energy “(WtE) offers a dual-solution: it reduces the physical footprint of waste while providing a renewable source of power. Unlike wet organic waste, dry waste has a high calorific value, making it an ideal fuel for heat generation technologies. By utilizing processes like incineration, cities can divert up to 90% of their dry waste from landfills. This project explores how these technologies can be integrated into a circular economy to ensure energy security and environmental protection. Additionally, it could address the inefficiencies of traditional solar tracking systems and the potential benefits of an automatic tracking system in enhancing energy production.
