Abstract

The tourism sector in India has expanded swiftly, playing a crucial role in economic advancement and job creation. This increase has therefore resulted in overtourism, leading to congestion, environmental deterioration, and diminished tourist pleasure. This article analyzes the function of AI-driven Smart Destination Systems in advancing sustainable and resilient tourism management. The study, utilizing secondary data from government papers, industry publications, and academic journals, emphasizes the advantages of AI-driven predictive analytics, IoT-based environmental monitoring, and data-informed governance. It offers an AI-driven Smart Destination Framework to enhance destination planning, resource management, and crowd control. The framework offers actionable ideas for policymakers and destination management to attain sustainable tourism growth in India.
